Mercedes-Benz Service B
The comprehensive major service — everything in Service A, plus brake fluid, cabin filter, and more
What Is a Mercedes-Benz Service B?
Service B is the major scheduled maintenance in the Mercedes-Benz servicing cycle. It includes everything performed during a Service A, plus additional critical items such as brake fluid replacement, cabin dust filter change, and a more thorough vehicle inspection.
Your ASSYST PLUS system calculates when Service B is due based on your driving conditions — typically every 20,000–25,000 kilometres or 24 months. Service B may also include additional numbered service items (B1, B2, B3, etc.) depending on your vehicle’s age and mileage.
At Anthony Costello Automotive, we carry out every Service B to the exact Mercedes-Benz manufacturer specification — with genuine parts, approved lubricants, and factory-level diagnostic equipment.

What’s Included in Service B
Service B includes everything in Service A, plus these additional items
Synthetic Oil & Filter
Full replacement of engine oil with MB-approved synthetic oil and new oil filter element.
Brake Fluid Exchange
Complete brake fluid flush and replacement with fresh DOT 4 fluid. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, reducing braking performance.
Cabin Dust Filter
Replacement of the cabin air filter (combination filter) to maintain air quality and HVAC system efficiency inside your vehicle.
Brake Component Inspection
Detailed inspection of brake pads, discs, calipers, and lines. Wear sensor check with pad thickness measurement and reporting.
Tyre & Fluid Checks
Tyre pressures checked and corrected. All fluid levels inspected — coolant, power steering, washer, and transmission fluid.
Comprehensive Inspection
Full vehicle inspection — lights, wipers, horn, underbody, suspension, steering, exhaust, and safety systems.
Service B Variations — B1, B2, B3 & Beyond
Your dashboard may show a number after the “B” — this indicates additional items are due
